Paul Weller will release a cover of The Beatles' 'Birthday' on Monday to celebrate Paul McCartney's 70th birthday.
The Modfather will release it on Monday as a download single with all the proceeds going to War Child. The track will only be available for purchase on Monday.
Weller told The Sun: "It's my own little tribute to the man who, along with the rest of The Beatles, got me into music in the first place."
Despite only recently releasing his 11th solo studio LP, Weller's already eyeing up his next project – he recently told NME he's planning on working with Miles Kane on new material. "We've set aside a couple of dates when I'm going to do some writing with him," he said. "I like him, he's done well."
