15 dead after Syrian refugee camp shelled

Item thumb

At least 15 people - including two children - are reported to have died after a refugee camp was shelled in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for human rights says the camp near Damascus was shelled after heavy clashes between rebels and regime forces.

It comes ahead of a vote on an Arab League-backed UN Resolution on the conflict later today.

Arab diplomats say they've toned down aspects of the resolution in order to secure as much support as possible - and increase pressure on the Assad regime.
