On Tuesday next, December 22, it's The Far Side of Christmas, two hours of festive ho-ho-ho music to have you scratching your head and staring at the radio with your mouth wide open.
As usual, this will be a "Last Christmas"-free zone as Jim Carroll rounds up those tracks and tunes which convey the real message of this time of year. Tunes like "Christmas Morning, The Rum Had Me Yawning" from Lord Beginner. Or "Santa's Too Fat for the Hula Hoop" from Thirties' rascals The Pixies with Thurl Ravenscroft. Or the cosmic "Silent Night Chant" from Rotary Connection.
You'll never look at a mince pie or a reindeer in the same way again.
